Rain

I woke up this morning
With a weight upon my heart.
It’s pushing’ me over,
To the sadness at start.

And hey, I’m a human,
And I’m weaker than you.
This thing takes me over,
It’s a nightmare coming true.

So I look out my window,
See the rain dropping down,
Forget my good old misery
And how it began, and sing:

Rain, take away my pain.
Let your pearly water drops
Drive my soul insane.
Let me feel free,
See all the good inside of me,
Let me feel the warmth,
You carry around…

The seconds are passing,
But time don’t mean much.
To me it’s just empty,
Not worth a glass scratch.

And I discover the beauty,
As water streams by.
The dirt’s washed away,
The clean slowly dries.

And I look out my window,
See the rain dropping down,
Forget my good old misery
And how it began, and sing:

Rain, take away my pain.
Let your pearly water drops
Drive my soul insane.
Let me feel free,
See all the good inside of me,
Let me feel the warmth,
You carry around…

And that one thing is to run away from you!
